My first ever e-drum (and drumkit) is the Alesis Nitro Nitro Mesh, which I bought in 2022. I’ve played it almost daily for two years and it’s still going strong. In this article I will answer some of the most questions that people have asked about this e-drumkit-
Q: Does Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit have bluetooth?
A: No, the Alesis Nitro Mesh does not have bluetooth. You have to connect your phone and/or speakers using the 3.5mm headphone jack. The upgraded model of the Mesh though- the Nitro Max – does have bluetooth.
Q: Are alesis surge parts compatible with alesis nitro mesh?
A: Yes, they are. Their pads are interchangeable. so if you upgraded from a mesh to a surge you can expand your kit using parts of the Nitro Mesh.
Q: Can you add to alesis nitro mesh electronic drum set?
A: Yes you can add one extra pad or cymbal to the nitro mesh.
Q: Can you download custom kits on alesis nitro mesh?
A: No, you cannot add or download custom sounds and kits to the nitro mesh’s module.
Q: Can you import sounds to alesis nitro mesh?
A: Unfortunately you cannot import sounds to this kit’s module. but you can connect it to your computer and run a VST such as Superior Drummer 3 or EZDrummer
Q: How to connect alesis nitro mesh to computer?
A: To connect your Alesis Nitro Mesh to your computer you will need a USB 2.0 A to B cable. It is the one that is commonly used by printers. You can buy one for cheap from your local or online store. Once you have the cable just plug it in and now you can connect your kit to DAWs such as Superior Drummer or FL Studio etc.

Q: How to record alesis nitro mesh kit?
A: You can record directly onto your phone using an i-rig. Just connect the iRig to the Output (Left or Right- both works) on the module and the other end to your phone. and you can record using the recorder app or even with video using the camera on your phone.
Q: How to turn on alesis nitro mesh kit?
A: The turn on button of the Alesis nitro Mesh is on the module. It’s on the backside of where the Voice, Tempo, Utility buttons are present.
Q: Is the alesis nitro mesh kit worth it?
A: Yes it definitely is worth it especially if youre a beginner. It’s great value for money as its reliable and durable. I’ve been using it for two years with no problems. Even if you’re a seasoned drummer it can be a great practice kit especially if you live in an apartment.
Q: Is alesis nitro mesh kit double bass compatible?
A: Yes, it is but only if you get a different kick. The default one has a small kick pad – so not enough space for two beaters. Once you have a bigger pad you can connect the new pedal to one of the extra pad ports that are available on the module.
Q: How to use bluetooth headphones with alesis nitro mesh kit?
A: Unfortunately it is not possible to use bluetooth headphones with the Alesis Nitro mesh as it does not have bluettoth. But you can do this with its successor- the Alesis Nitro Max.
